Was the Mother of Believers holding the rope with her hands, or what was she doing?

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque and saw a rope stretched between two pillars. He asked about it, and he was told: "It belongs to Zaynab, for her to hold onto when she becomes tired from prayer." So he said: "Untie it. Let each of you pray while he is energetic. If he becomes lazy or tired, let him sit down." This hadith indicates the dislike of holding onto a rope during prayer.
