A study trip to a disbelieving country is permissible if there is a need, if it is possible to openly practice one's religion, and if one is safe from temptation. This trip is not a combat jihad, but it may be a jihad in seeking knowledge and inviting to Allah if the intention is pure, due to the benefit and upliftment it brings to the Ummah. We advise you to fear Allah, adhere to the religion, and stay away from temptations.
