Is the Prophet (peace be upon him) a perfect man, or a human being to whom revelation was sent and who attained the best of morals? And what is the difference?

The word "ideal" was not used by the Arabs. It appears from people's usage that it is applied to one who is emulated for their virtues. In the Quran, the word "أَمْثَلُهُمْ" (amthaluhum) appeared, meaning "the best of them in opinion." If the word "ideal" is used to indicate that the Prophet (peace be upon him) is the best of mankind, then there is no harm in it. However, it is more fitting to describe him with what his Lord described him, such as "an excellent example." He is also "a human being to whom revelation is sent," and he attained the best of morals by Allah's grace.
