What is the way to deal calmly with children's mistakes, especially when they do not commit to their responsibilities such as memorizing the Quran or doing household chores, and to overcome the intense fits of anger that overcome me?
The treatment for anger involves several things, including: that the angry person should warn himself of the consequences of his anger, and know that his anger occurred according to Allah's will, not his own. He should also recall the virtue of suppressing rage and forgiving people, as stated in the Almighty's words: "and those who restrain anger and pardon people—and Allah loves the doers of good."
Another treatment is for the angry person to calm down and seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan. If he is standing, he should sit; if he is sitting, he should lie down. He should also perform ablution and supplicate for the rectification of affairs. Among the suitable supplications is: "O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not leave me to myself for the blink of an eye, and rectify all my affairs. There is no god but You."
One must be cautious not to let anger lead to supplicating against one's children, for a mother's supplication against her child is answered.
