My salary is mixed with lawful and unlawful elements, so what should I do?

If the work involves forbidden matters and a salary is received for it, then the unlawful portion of the salary must be disposed of by spending it on charitable causes and public welfare. However, if the work is in a mixed institution (containing both lawful and unlawful elements), and your work is not related to the forbidden matters, then there is no harm in the salary.
