What is the wisdom behind describing the width of Paradise as being like the width of the heavens and the earth, knowing that the heaven is much larger than the earth, so what is the benefit of mentioning the earth in this description?

Al-Qurtubi, Ibn Ashour, and Al-Shawkani transmitted the sayings of scholars regarding the meaning of "a Paradise whose width is the heavens and the earth." They mentioned two views: The first is that the width is real and that the heavens and the earth are joined together. The second is that the expression is metaphorical, used to exaggerate the vastness of Paradise, indicating that it possesses the utmost degree of spaciousness and expansiveness. Thus, the verse follows the Arabic rhetorical style of representing extreme vastness. It is incumbent upon the servant to know that the superiority of Allah's speech is like the superiority of Allah over His creation, and it is not permissible to compare it to human speech.
