What is the virtue of performing night prayers during Ramadan?

Observing the nights of Ramadan is a confirmed Sunnah. Whoever observes Ramadan out of faith and hope for reward will have their past sins forgiven. The best of its nights is Laylat al-Qadr, which most often falls on the 27th night. It is legislated to observe the nights of Ramadan in congregation, and this is better than praying alone. Umar ibn al-Khattab revived this Sunnah after the death of the Prophet, peace be upon him. The number of rak'ahs for it is eleven, with the possibility of reducing them. It is permissible for women to attend the nightly prayers, and even to appoint a special Imam for them. The recitation during the prayer depends on the Imam and the congregants. Prolonging the recitation is permissible as long as it does not cause hardship to the congregants. The time for the nightly prayer is from after the 'Isha prayer until Fajr. Praying in the last part of the night is better for those who can manage it. As for the Qunut supplication, it should be the reported supplication, and it is permissible to add to it, to send blessings upon the Prophet, and to curse the disbelievers. It is recommended to say at the end of Witr: "O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your wrath..." And after the salutation, one should say: "Subhan al-Malik al-Quddus" three times. It is permissible to pray two rak'ahs after Witr.
