Does the interpretation of "or what their right hands possess" include personal belongings such as soft furnishings, or is it restricted solely to female slaves, and why?

In the Arabic language, the term "milk al-yameen" (what your right hand possesses) refers to enslaved persons and not to everything a person owns. In the verse, "except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed" (Al-Mu'minun: 6), it refers to female slaves. This verse indicates the prohibition of masturbation, because whoever seeks pleasure with their hand until they discharge semen has sought something beyond what Allah has permitted, and thus they are transgressors. Imam Shafi'i and Imam Malik used this verse as evidence to prohibit masturbation by hand. However, a man's masturbating with the hand of his wife or his female slave is permissible.
