What should one do who faces whispers and fears concerning the soundness of his creed and deeds, despite his adherence to the Ash'ari creed and his belief in God's attributes without distortion, yet he still fears that his deeds will not be accepted on the Day of Resurrection?

We ask Allah to increase you in light, guidance, and adherence to the righteous predecessors of the Ummah. Your feeling of fear of innovation is merely a whisper (waswasa), so dismiss it. As for the fear of a bad end and the non-acceptance of deeds, this was the state of the predecessors, and it should not lead you to despair. Rather, be balanced between fear and hope.
