Several hadiths confirm that honey is a medicine, among them the hadith: "If there is any good in your medicines, it is in a drink of honey." And from Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, loved sweets and honey. And from Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "You must use the two cures: honey and the Quran." And a man came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, complaining about his brother's diarrhea, so the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded him to give him honey to drink, and he gave him to drink, and he was cured.
