Is the marriage considered valid after the husband took back his divorced wife before consummating the marriage, then divorced her again and consummated the marriage with her, knowing that the wife was ignorant of the rulings of divorce?

Writing the divorce or the husband's saying to his wife: "Consider yourself divorced" is an implicit utterance (kinayah) by which divorce does not occur except with intention, and divorce does not occur with doubt. As for the saying "You are divorced," it is an explicit utterance (sareeh) by which divorce occurs whether the husband intended it or not, unless he sends it by message, in which case it becomes an implicit utterance (kinayah) by which divorce does not occur except with intention. Marriage is one of the great rituals of Islam, so it should not be an arena for husbands to toy with divorce.
