What is the legal ruling regarding a husband saying to his wife, in writing, not verbally: "You are divorced"; once with the intention of divorce, and another time without the intention of divorce?

Writing a divorce is a form of

kinayah (allusive expression), and divorce takes effect by it if the husband

intends it. This is the view of the majority of jurists.

Accordingly, divorce was binding upon you by the first message in which

you intended divorce, unlike the second message, due to the absence of the

intention of divorce therein. You may take your wife back if this divorce

does not complete the three (talaqs) and before her 'iddah (waiting period)

is complete.
