What is the ruling on a husband writing the words of divorce to his wife in a text message but not sending it, then deleting it, and then sending her a conditional divorce that was fulfilled, and then divorcing her with a colloquial term intending divorce and taking her back during her waiting period, and then divorcing her twice consecutively by saying: "You are divorced, and this is the second divorce," and then "You are divorced, and this is the third divorce"?

If a man writes a divorce letter intending to effect the divorce, the divorce takes place regardless of whether it is sent to the wife. The husband's statement to his wife, "You are divorced," is considered explicit for those whose dialect this is. If the husband intended to effect a divorce by saying, "You are divorced, you are divorced," then two divorces occur according to the majority of jurists, and one divorce according to Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah. If the husband takes her back during the 'iddah (waiting period), then the revocation is valid. The husband should consult the Sharia court or scholars to clarify whether his wife has become irrevocably separated from him due to the occurrence of three divorces. It should be noted that haste in divorce is a grave error.
