Is it possible for Allah to treat Muslims as He treated the people of 'Ad and Noah—with widespread destruction—especially after the proliferation of sins and open transgression, fighting against the friends of Allah, and the scarcity of reformers? And what is the guidance if the answer is in the negative?

Among the characteristics of the Muslim nation is that it is divinely protected and safe from general punishment, destruction, widespread drought, and subjugation by enemies. This is due to the supplication of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.

As for an individual from this nation, he is not immune from destruction, punishment, and retribution. Allah may destroy him through subsidence, diseases, or other means. The punishment of the Hereafter is more severe and greater for one for whom evil is intended and whose punishment is not hastened in this world.
