Does what a wet dog encounters become impure if the impurity itself (the عين النجاسة) is removed from the dog by water only?

It is obligatory to purify anything touched by the impurity of a dog by washing it seven times, one of which is with earth. It is permissible to use soap, ushnan, or bran instead of earth, according to some jurists. The intended meaning of a dog's impurity refers to its saliva, drool, urine, and feces. Jurists differed regarding its body, and the most preponderant opinion is that it is pure.

If a dog's impurity touches a garment, it must be washed seven times, one of which is with earth. Merely removing the substance of the impurity is not sufficient, and the ruling of impurity remains if it is not washed seven times. However, the impurity does not transfer from it to anything else, even if it is wet.
