What is the ruling on swearing by Allah or by the Holy Qur’an in a moment of anger, then regretting this oath, and does it entail expiation?

Swearing by the Mus'haf is like swearing by Allah, and the oath becomes binding whether one is angry or not, because the Qur'an is the Word of Allah and an attribute of His attributes. Qatadah swore by the Mus'haf, and Ahmad ibn Hanbal and Ishaq did not disapprove of it, because the intention is to swear by the Qur'an which is between the two covers of the Mus'haf.
