Will a supplication be answered if there is an intention for it not to occur, such as saying: "May Allah cut short your life" with the aim of deterring rather than supplicating?

It is not permissible for a Muslim to supplicate against another without a legitimate Shar'i right. Whoever does so is an oppressor and an aggressor, and their supplication will not be answered, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The supplication of any servant continues to be answered as long as he does not supplicate for a sin or for the severance of kinship ties." Similarly, a supplication uttered unintentionally in a state of anger is not answered. Allah, the Almighty, says: "And if Allah were to hasten for the people the evil [they invoke] as they hasten the good, their term would have been concluded for them."
