How do jinn possess humans and why, where do they reside in the body, and why does a jinn prefer to be trapped inside a human body even though their capabilities are much greater when they are free?

The jinn's possession of the epileptic person's body is affirmed by the Qur'an, Sunnah, and the consensus of the أهل السنة (People of the Sunnah). The jinn have purposes and motives for this, including enjoying the love of the possessed person or harming them. The jinn's abode in the body is the bloodstream, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Satan flows through the son of Adam like blood." Some scholars have taken this hadith literally, using it as proof of possession, while others have interpreted it as referring to whispering and temptation.
