There is no harm in supplicating and concluding gatherings with it, especially meetings of scholars and in mosques. It is a good thing and a necessity for Muslims. However, the supplicant must use prescribed supplications, not invent new ones, nor should he supplicate for the destruction of people or the ruler. Rather, he should supplicate for their guidance.
