What makes me believe that the methodology of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah is one of goodness and soundness, and that you follow this methodology?

It is from a person's felicity and well-being that Allah grants him success in finding a master of Sunnah who guides him to it, as narrated from Ayyub, Ibn Shawdhab, and Yusuf ibn Asbat. If this is not possible, then after resorting to Allah and purifying his intention, a person must exert effort in seeking knowledge from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, and from the understanding of the noble Companions and the application of the favored generations. For the truth does not depart from the Book and the Sunnah, and their correct understanding comes through the understanding of the generation that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, nurtured. This is achieved through chains of narration (isnad) and athar (reports).
