Is it permissible for a Muslim to recite the Qur’an or pray and dedicate the reward thereof to his deceased parents, and what is the ruling on the signs that a person places in the streets with the intention of earning reward for himself or his parents, and on which he writes “Remember Allah” or “Send blessings upon the Prophet”?

It was previously explained that it is permissible to dedicate the reward of reciting the Qur’an to the deceased and to pray on behalf of the deceased. As for the billboards that carry the remembrance of Allah or prayers upon the Messenger, and are placed on the roadside, they are a charitable act for which the doer is rewarded, as they remind people of Allah and His Messenger. The reward for these acts reaches the parents of the one who placed them if he intended that.
