What should a man do in this situation: divorce his wife or disobey his mother, knowing that he loves his wife?

Disobeying the mother regarding marriage to a specific woman is not permissible, and if the son insists on marrying her, he is sinful. He must obey his mother in divorcing her if her rejection and request for divorce have a legitimate religious justification. However, if there is no legitimate religious justification, he is not obligated to divorce her, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Obedience is only in what is good and right." He should strive to please his parents and seek their forgiveness.
