Is it permissible to give a lesson immediately after the prayer without allowing sufficient time for the Sunnah prayer or the tasbeeh?

The lecturer should wait a little after the prayer to allow the worshippers to perform their adhkar (remembrances) and mu'aqqibat (post-prayer supplications), unless there is a fear that people will disperse, in which case he may begin immediately to achieve the benefit of spreading knowledge. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen pointed out that initiating the lesson immediately after prayer is due to the fear of people leaving, and that seeking knowledge is better than adhkar for those who cannot combine both. There are hadiths indicating that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, admonished his companions after prayer, such as the hadith of Anas and the hadith of Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani. As for the post-prayer Sunnah prayers, they can be performed after the lesson, and it is preferable to perform them at home.
