What is the ruling on surgically rupturing the hymen due to the husband's inability to penetrate because of his illness, in order to facilitate marital affairs and with his knowledge?

If there is a need to surgically rupture the hymen, such as when the hymen is thick or the husband is unable to rupture it, then there is no objection to doing so with the consent of both spouses. However, if there is no such need, then it is not permissible to proceed with this surgery due to the exposure of the severe 'awrah (private parts) without necessity.
