Q: How is Islam’s care for women manifested through the rulings of Mahramiyyah?

Islam has safeguarded women and elevated their status. It has stipulated the presence of a mahram for her travel or private seclusion with her, in order to protect her from any danger that might threaten her honor or tarnish her chastity, and not out of belittlement of her standing or suspicion of her. This is supported by religious texts such as: "A woman should not travel for three days unless she is accompanied by a mahram" and "No man should ever be in private seclusion with a woman unless a mahram is with her."
