The etiquettes related to the mosque are many, including: the supplication for entering and exiting, stepping with the right foot upon entering and the left foot upon exiting. It is not permissible for a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), a menstruating woman (ha'idh), or a woman in postpartum bleeding (nufasa') to stay in the mosque, except for passing through when necessary, provided there is no fear of defilement. Mosques must be protected from idle talk and falsehood, buying and selling, and announcing lost items, as they are designated for the remembrance of Allah, prayer, and recitation of the Quran. There is no harm in eating and sleeping in them when necessary, while maintaining their cleanliness.
