What benefits does the preserver of the Qur'an gain in this world and the hereafter, and what about his relatives, descendants, and the generations before and after him?

Memorizing the Qur’an is an act of worship, by which one seeks the countenance of Allah, not worldly gains. The memorizer of the Qur’an has advantages in this world and the Hereafter. In this world, he is given precedence in leading prayer, in the grave when buried with others, and in leadership if he is capable of it.

As for the Hereafter, his status will be at the last verse he memorizes, and he will be with the angels. He will wear the crown of honor and its robes, and the Qur’an will intercede for him with his Lord. His parents will be clothed in two garments, for which the world and all it contains would not be sufficient, due to what they provided their child in terms of education and care.
