Is it permissible for me to bring a Christmas tree and place it as a decoration in the home for my daughter?

The Christmas tree is a symbol associated with Christian celebrations, and its official use began in Germany in the 16th century. Islam prohibits imitating disbelievers in their acts of worship and symbols, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Whoever imitates a people is one of them." Therefore, it is not permissible to place a Christmas tree in a Muslim's home, as it involves forbidden imitation or veneration of a religious symbol of the disbelievers. Parents must protect their children from forbidden things and safeguard them from the Hellfire, as Allah Almighty says: {O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire.} The prohibition of imitating disbelievers must be explained to children to instill the doctrine of Al-Wala' wal-Bara' (loyalty and disavowal).
