What is the difference between the devourer of usury and its purveyor?

Muslim narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the one who consumes usury, its payer, its scribe, and its two witnesses, and he mentioned that they are all equal. The one who consumes usury is the one who takes it, and the payer is the one who gives it. Eating was singled out for mention because it represents the greatest form of benefit.
