How should a Muslim woman treat her non-Muslim parents who failed to fulfill their duties towards her upbringing and financial support, and does the ruling differ if she lives far away from them?

We congratulate our sister on her conversion to Islam, and we ask Allah to keep her steadfast. She must do everything that helps her remain steadfast. Honoring her parents and being dutiful to them is an obligation, even if they fall short in their duties towards her or are disbelievers. This is to seek reward from Allah, and perhaps it may be a reason for them to be encouraged towards Islam and guided. She must also strive to invite them to the truth, even if through others.
