The different types of honey (bee honey, date honey, sugarcane honey) are distinct categories, and it is permissible to exchange them with a difference in quantity, such as one pound of bee honey for two pounds of sugarcane honey, hand-to-hand. It is permissible to sell honey for an equal measure of the same type if it is purified from its wax. If the types differ, a difference in quantity is permissible, such as sugarcane honey for bee honey.
