What is the ruling on prayer and fasting if the signs of menstruation appear for a day or less every ten to fifteen days, three months after childbirth?

If a woman sees blood for less than a day and a night, what she sees is not considered menstruation (hayd) by the majority of jurists. Therefore, she should not abandon prayer or fasting on account of it, nor is ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) obligatory for her. Rather, she should cleanse herself (istinja (definition)'), perform ablution (wudu'), and pray. If she fears its discharge during prayer, she should secure the area with a pad or similar item.
