Parents and family members should be advised with wisdom and good counsel to avoid watching movies and TV series, as they contain scenes that Allah dislikes and they waste time. Remind them of the obligation to lower their gaze, guard their hearing, and preserve their time. If they desist, then praise be to Allah. If not, then you have absolved yourself before Allah, as long as you have disliked and denounced the evil. You should not participate in their evil, but treat them kindly in matters of daily life, and frequently supplicate for their guidance and forgiveness.
