Filial piety is one of the obligations of Islam and may be coupled with monotheism. Some are surprised that society accepts strange customs and fashions but rejects adherence to the . Sheikh Muhammad Rashid Rida considers this to be a tyranny on the part of parents if they strip their children of their freedom and personal independence. He points out that beneficence does not mean obeying parents in taking away the children's freedom and independence, nor in abandoning what they see as good or doing what they see as evil. To solve this problem, children must perfect their filial piety so that their parents accept their personal choices. Beautiful patience and increased beneficence are the cause of every relief. In conclusion, it is mentioned that God commanded beneficence towards parents, and not to obey them if they command polytheism, yet to accompany them with kindness.
