Did the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, kiss his wives while his children were watching?

It has not been established that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to kiss some of his wives in the presence of his children. Had that occurred, it would have spread among the people and been widely transmitted by scholars. He was characterized by the best of manners and the most perfect modesty, and he was more modest than a virgin in her seclusion. What indicates that this act did not emanate from him is the disapproval of kissing or being intimate with one's wife in the presence of people.
