Divorce is disfavored in Islamic law, but it may be permissible when there is a need, or reprehensible, or unlawful for other reasons. It may also be a blessing for the couple. There is no stating that a divorced woman who has previously been married enters Paradise without reckoning. However, entry into Paradise is facilitated by faith and righteous deeds. Sponsoring an orphan is among the best righteous deeds and includes taking the orphan into one's care and providing for them, or providing financial support to cover their needs.
