Is it permissible for a woman who wears the niqab to remove her niqab in a foreign country on the pretext that people there find it strange, while she remains committed to wearing it in her own country?

Covering the face and palms of the hands is a matter of scholarly disagreement, but the most sound opinion is that it is obligatory to cover them. A Muslim woman should do so as a matter of faith and worship of Allah Almighty, and she should be patient in this, seeking His pleasure.
