You must obey your father if he has a valid reason for preventing you from buying the bicycle, such as fearing for you due to your lack of proficiency in riding. However, if his prevention is without a valid reason and you are in need of it, then you are not obliged to obey him. You should be gentle with him and try to convince him politely.
