If the wife performed Tawaf al-Ifadah while experiencing brownish bloody discharge, and she suspected this to be menstrual blood, along with menstrual pain, then her husband had intercourse with her several times after the Tawaf and before she completed the Tawaf while she was menstruating, is a single sheep required for all instances of intercourse, or a sheep for each instance of intercourse?
If the blood the wife saw was menstruation (i.e., it lasted a day and a night), then her circumambulating the Kaaba while menstruating is impermissible. She must return to Mecca to perform the circumambulation and the sa'i (if she was performing as tamattu', or if she had not yet performed sa'i after the al-qudum if she was performing or ). She must also sacrifice a sheep in Mecca, to be distributed among the poor of the . If intercourse was repeated, she owes only one (a sheep), because it is a single type of transgression.
However, if the total amount of blood she saw did not amount to a day and a night, it is not considered menstruation according to the majority of scholars.
