If the wife performed Tawaf al-Ifadah while experiencing brownish bloody discharge, and she suspected this to be menstrual blood, along with menstrual pain, then her husband had intercourse with her several times after the Tawaf and before she completed the Tawaf while she was menstruating, is a single sheep required for all instances of intercourse, or a sheep for each instance of intercourse?

If the blood the wife saw was menstruation (i.e., it lasted a day and a night), then her circumambulating the Kaaba while menstruating is impermissible. She must return to Mecca to perform the circumambulation and the sa'i (if she was performing umrah as tamattu', or if she had not yet performed sa'i after the tawaf al-qudum if she was performing qiran or ifrad). She must also sacrifice a sheep in Mecca, to be distributed among the poor of the Haram. If intercourse was repeated, she owes only one fidyah (a sheep), because it is a single type of transgression.

However, if the total amount of blood she saw did not amount to a day and a night, it is not considered menstruation according to the majority of scholars.
