And will her faith benefit her? And why do scholars issue fatwas accepting the repentance of a sorcerer?

Learning and practicing magic is an act of disbelief (kufr) because it was the devils who taught people magic. The correct view is that a sorcerer should be executed if their sorcery is proven, and this is what the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did. They must be executed to deter corruption, even if they outwardly show repentance, for their repentance benefits them with Allah, but not in this worldly life. The majority of scholars hold the view that they are not to be asked to repent, and they are buried in the cemeteries of disbelievers and no funeral prayer is offered for them. However, if someone comes forward on their own, announcing their repentance before being apprehended, then their repentance is accepted. This ruling is not to be carried out by individuals but by the ruler.
