Does the husband's condition for his wife not to work apply before consummation, or is he entitled to prevent her from working before marriage?

Since the marriage contract has been concluded, the wife is obliged to fulfill the condition of leaving work, especially if the work involves mixing (between genders), as unlawful mixing is evil and a tribulation. It is not permissible for her to join such work at all.
