Is the husband obligated to perform the Hajj with the money he currently has, or should he wait until he finds a job in Saudi Arabia, and will his Umrah be accepted before Hajj?

A husband must initiate Hajj immediately if he possesses sufficient funds for it, as Hajj is an immediate obligation for those who are able. Ability includes physical health, availability of transportation and sufficient provisions for the journey there and back, while retaining enough for the expenses of his dependents. He is not permitted to delay Hajj under the pretext of seeking employment in Mecca, for Hajj is a cause for expansion of sustenance. As for performing Umrah before Hajj, it is undoubtedly valid, as it is an independent act of worship. The husband should save money for Hajj instead of performing Umrah if the two conflict, and it is preferable for his Hajj to be Tamattu' or Qiran. The obligation of Hajj is not waived due to distance or high cost if the ability is present.
