How can the fact that angels do not approach the carcass of a disbeliever be reconciled with their questioning of him in the grave? And does the Angel of Death come to one who is in a state of ritual impurity (junub), even though angels do not approach him?

Abu Dawud narrated a hadith from Ammar ibn Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Three will not be approached by the angels: the corpse of a disbeliever, one who anoints himself with khalooq (a type of perfume), and a person in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity) unless he performs ablution." Al-Albani graded it as hasan. The angels referred to here are the angels of mercy and blessings, not the guardian or recording angels, as these never leave a person. The hadith implies that whoever commits these acts is deprived of the proximity of the angels of mercy and blessings as a punishment. Some scholars, however, deemed the hadith weak due to a break in its chain of narration, which removes the problem from its root.
