What is your opinion on someone who uses personal freedom as a pretext to commit sins and transgressions, and how would you respond to him?

Indeed, the assertion that a person's individual freedom allows them to do as they please without adhering to religious obligations is a dangerous path that leads to the rejection of divine commands, and this constitutes disbelief (kufr). Allah created human beings and tested them with religious obligations, and Islam means submission to Allah. Whoever disobeys is a rebellious servant deserving of punishment. This assertion contradicts the verses enjoining good and forbidding evil, such as His saying, "And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those are the successful" (Quran 3:104), and His saying concerning the Children of Israel, "They did not actively forbid one another from the reprehensible things which they did" (Quran 5:79), and the hadith: "Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand..."

Furthermore, this assertion removes the distinction between the believer and the disbeliever, and between humans and animals. For Allah distinguished the believing doers of righteous deeds from the disbelievers who enjoy themselves and eat as animals eat. And Allah has clarified for humanity the path of guidance and misguidance. It is not permissible for a Muslim to invoke their personal freedom to reject religious commands or fall into prohibitions. Whoever does so is an opponent of Allah. If everyone followed this logic, society would become chaotic, and disorder would prevail, as the harm of many sins extends beyond the individual.

The scope of freedom for a Muslim is confined to permissible matters. Anything else is restricted by Islamic law, all of which is to achieve servitude to Allah Almighty, which is a great status by which Allah described His prophets and messengers.
