What is your opinion on Sufism, and what is the ruling on wearing unstitched undergarments produced by some factories in the Hijaz?

Sufism is a broad term; it may refer to asceticism, turning away from worldly life, and striving in worship, which was the state of the early Sufis. However, innovations (bid'ah) spread among many Sufi groups due to ignorance, to the extent that some of them apostatized from Islam, such as Al-Hallaj, Ibn Arabi, and Ibn Al-Farid. Sufism cannot be judged by a general ruling; whatever conforms to Islamic law is acceptable, and whatever contradicts it is rejected to the extent of its contradiction.
