Is it permissible for a girl to leave her pubic hair unshaved until a few days before marriage?

Every adult, legally responsible Muslim is commanded to perform istihdad (shaving pubic hair) and other acts of fitra (natural disposition), whether male or female, married or unmarried. Neglecting any of these acts for a period that makes it unusual is contrary to the Sunnah. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified the maximum duration for neglecting these acts, which is forty nights. The preferred timing for these acts is determined by need and length; when it grows long, it should be removed, and it should not be left for the entire forty-day period under any circumstances.
