Is a woman required to remove hair from her body that is not commonly known [to be removed], and is that considered part of the cleanliness required by Sharia?

The wife must remove anything that hinders her husband's full enjoyment of her, such as bad odors, excessive hair, and anything that causes aversion or disgust. The husband has the right to compel her to do so. She must also obey her husband if he orders her to adorn herself for him, for obedience to the husband in what is good and permissible is obligatory, and his right to adornment is established. The husband is advised to explain the religious ruling to his wife and remind her of Allah, the obligation of obedience, and the consequences of disobedience, while exercising patience and wisdom.
