Our information about Asiya bint Muzahim is scarce, and the details reported about her often come from unverified Isra'iliyat (Judeo-Christian traditions). It appears she concealed her faith from Pharaoh. Allah the Almighty mentioned her in the Quran as a model for believers when she prayed, "My Lord, build for me near You a house in Paradise and save me from Pharaoh and his deeds and save me from the wrongdoing people." The Prophet, peace be upon him, also counted her among the few women who attained perfection and among the best women of Paradise. She chose death over kingship and torment, and her discernment regarding Moses, peace be upon him, was truthful.
