Is it permissible to accept a job offer to write a program for organizing school class schedules, knowing that these times might conflict with prayer times (Asr, Maghrib, and Jumu'ah), and would this be considered cooperation in sin?

Delaying prayer beyond its prescribed time is forbidden. Scholars have interpreted Allah's saying: "There succeeded them a later generation who neglected prayers and pursued passions; so they are going to meet evil" (19:59) as referring to delaying prayers beyond their due times.

Prayer has been ordained to be performed at its appointed time, as Allah says: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a time-bound ordinance" (4:103).

Therefore, if students can perform prayer during classes by exiting individually or in groups, then there is no objection to the software that organizes class times.

However, if they are unable to perform prayer at its due time because of this software, then preparing it is considered aiding in the neglect of prayer, and this is forbidden, as Allah says: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression" (5:2).
