Who is the closest to the Prophet, peace be upon him?
The closest people to the Prophet in lineage are his sons and daughters. The Prophet said, "Fatimah is a part of me."
The closest people to the Prophet in position on the Day of Resurrection are those with the best morals, for he (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, the dearest of you to me and the closest of you to me in position on the Day of Resurrection are those with the best morals."
The people who send the most blessings upon the Prophet are the closest to him on the Day of Resurrection, for he said: "Indeed, the closest of you to me on the Day of Resurrection are those who send the most blessings upon me."
The most beloved man to the Prophet during his lifetime was Abu Bakr, and among women, it was Aisha.
